Find It

Find it is a brilliant brain game for helping your dog calm down, use their nose, and to deliver mental stimulation. 

Traditionally we see this game played a lot with food, but it’s just as fun (if not more so) to play it with toys. 

This is an easy game to play that requires no prior skills - so let’s get started. 

HOW TO PLAY:

Start with your dog in a wait or have someone hold them on the lead while you hide your dog’s favourite Tug-E-Nuff toy in sight.

Release your dog to find the toy and add a ‘find it’ cue. 

When your dog successfully finds the toy, reward them with a game of tuggy - then play again! 

Slowly increase the difficulty once your dog gets the hang of the game. 

You can play this game indoors and outdoors. 

PROGRESSING THE GAME:

Start hiding the toy further away, behind plant pots, trees or other items and in other rooms in the house. 

Slowly progress to hiding the toy further out of sight so your dog has to use their nose to find it. 

TOP TIP:

If your dog struggles, make it easier as they grow their find it skills. You might find using a brightly coloured toy like our Fauxtastics or a food toy like our Clam help your dog to succeed as they learn the game. 

We want the game to be fun so don’t make it too challenging before your dog is ready.
