Our Top Five Toys For Increasing Motivation

Dogs are just like the rest of us – sometimes they need a little something to increase their motivation.

But while for us that might be a slice of cake or new item of clothing, for our four-legged friends it’s a new toy that will usually do the trick.

At Tug-E-Nuff Dog Gear we specialise in hand-crafting a complete range of dog toys based on years of dog training experience.

These are our top five picks for toys that will give your dog the motivational boost they need…

  1. Rabbit Skin Bungee Tug

If your dog sometimes lacks the urge to play, our Rabbit Skin Bungee Tug is a great option for arousing their interest. That’s because it’s made with real, sustainably-sourced rabbit fur that dogs simply can’t resist the smell and texture of.

The bungee design ensures your dog can tug away to his heart’s content without you losing your grip or getting any shoulder injuries.

  1. Pocket Bungee Sheepskin Ball Tug

If you want to carry the key to motivating your dog in your pocket, the Pocket Bungee Sheepskin Ball Tug is for you. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, you can carry it with you wherever you go.

The real sheepskin will entice your dog into playing, even on her laziest of days, and it’s the perfect alternative reward for food-based treats during training sessions.

  1. The Clam

For some dogs, the only thing that really motivates them is the promise of food. At Tug-E-Nuff, we believe in working with that rather than against it. That’s why we love The Clam so much.

It’s clever design makes it perfect for using during training as you can hide a treat within it, that your dog can find for himself after the toy has been thrown.

The instant reward of food maximises results and is guaranteed to get your food-obsessed dog excited. It’s one of the most popular toys we’ve ever made. Try it and you’ll see why.

  1. Bungee Food Bag

We reckon you can’t have too much of a good thing, so we created the Bungee Food Bag that combines the enjoyment of playing tug with the irresistible power of doggy treats. It really does offer the best of both worlds in terms of motivation, and its size and weight makes it perfect for throwing. What more could you – or your dog – want?

  1. Crazy Thing Bungee Tug

The hunting instinct is a huge motivator for lots of dogs but it can be hard to find a toy that taps into that. Say hello to the Crazy Thing Bungee Tug. It’s soft fleece mimics the feathers of a bird to entice your dog into playing, or to be used as a great reward during training. Some dogs also prefer biting down on something soft, so this is a toy that ticks that box as well.
