Festive Treats For Your Four-Legged Friend – Our Top Picks

As pet-lovers, we spend around £250 million on spoiling our pets at Christmas. In fact, figures show 90 percent of us will splash out on gifts for our furry friends.

More than half of pets have a Christmas stocking, a third have their own advent calendar and about a quarter of us send our animals a Christmas card.

So what’s ‘Santa Paws’ bringing for your dog this year? If you’re stuck for ideas, here are our top picks…

If your dog loves food …

Let’s face it, most dogs love some kind of tasty treat. So we’ve created the toy that every food-obsessed dog can’t resist – The Clam. It’s still one of our most popular items – and with it’s easy to throw shape and Velcro pouch for hiding treats, it’s easy to see why.

Plus, we’ve created festive versions of our Food Bag and Food Bag With Ball. These toys, which are available in red, green and cream for a limited time only, are great motivators during training. All you need to do is add the treats!

If your dog loves a ball…

Our Sheepskin Ball Bungee Tug combines all the elements that make a dog training toy irresistible – a stretchy handle for easy tugging, real British sheepskin and, of course, a rubber ball. So let your dog go wild this Christmas with this motivational, easy-to-throw toy that is designed to last for ages.

If you like having a toy you can easily conceal when dog training, but you want something that really motivates your ball-obsessed dog, you’ll love our Pocket Bungee Sheepskin Ball Tug. It’s cleverly designed to fold up and fit in the palm of your hand, ready to be thrown at just the right moment!

If your dog loves playing tug…

Our Christmas redesign of the Bungee Handled Fleece Tug is always popular at this time of year. We recommend it if you have a larger dog that tugs hard as it’s particularly durable and offers you good shoulder support.

Alternatively, our festive themed Crazy Thing Bungee Tug is guaranteed to help you share the festive cheer with your dog on Christmas morning. With its layers of fleece that are designed to mimic the movement of a bird, your dog will love getting to chase and tug at it.

Or if you want something simple but effective that is sure to stand the test of time (and the toughest of tugs), go for our Braided Tuggy Lead, now available in red, white and green for Christmas.

If your dog is still a pup…

Dogs have an instinctive urge to play with real fur from the word go so our Little Tuggers Sheepskin Bungee is perfect for young pups or small dogs. This dog training toy is made with British sheepskin that has been cut to a shorter pile, making it perfect for pups to bite in to. Try it and see for yourself how motivating using toys made with sustainably-sourced, real fur can be.

We are also proud to be stockists of the Kong Ballistic Friend Wubba as part of our Little Tuggers range. It’s the ideal toss and tug toy which features two balls (including one squeaky one that is sure to get the tails of young dogs wagging!).

We hope that’s helped you write up your dog’s letter to ‘Santa Paws’. Don’t forget, if you want your dog training toys to arrive before Christmas, you must order by 21th December for UK customers and 6th December for Europe and Worldwide.

Merry Christmas!
